YOUR HOSPITAL TEAM

Medical Staff
Your physician will lead the medical team that provides your care. All tests, procedures, medications, therapies and protocols require an order by your physician. Consulting physicians with expertise in certain fields may also be involved with your care.

Nursing Staff
Twenty-four hour nursing care is provided by a team of licensed professional nurses and nurse aides. A nurse supervisor is responsible for directing and coordinating nursing care on each unit. Please feel free to contact your nurse, the nurse supervisor or director of nursing if you have questions or concerns.

Students
WNH provides learning opportunities for students from a number of healthcare career programs in the area. All students are carefully supervised by hospital staff. They will have name badges and identify themselves to you.

Dietitian
The hospital has a registered dietitian to assist with your dietary needs during your stay. If you have questions about your meals or diet, notify your nurse or call the dietitian at ext. 1129.

Discharge Planner/Patient Educator
Being discharged from the hospital can be a confusing and frustrating experience. We want you to make this important transition as smoothly as possible. Along with a professional nursing staff, the hospital has a discharge planner/patient educator to assist you. If you need assistance, notify your nurse or call ext. 1233.

Other Hospital Staff
During your stay you may be visited by other healthcare professionals, including staff from Laboratory, Diagnostic Imaging, Respiratory Services and Rehabilitation Services. In addition, you may come into contact with staff from Housekeeping, Maintenance, Business Office and other departments. All hospital staff members are required to wear photo ID badges. Do not hesitate to ask for identification. We are all here to help you, so let us know how we can be of service.

Patient Financial Services
A representative from the Business Office can answer questions about your hospital bill and help you interpret the hospital's financial policies and billing and payment procedures. You may contact the Business Office by calling ext. 1107 Monday - Friday 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. or the Credit & Collections Manager at ext. 1109 Monday - Friday 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Housekeeping
Your room is cleaned daily by a member of the housekeeping staff. If there is a housekeeping problem in your room, tell your nurse and it will be taken care of as soon as possible.

Pastoral Services
WNH believes in providing total patient care, which includes meeting the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of every patient. Members of the local clergy are available on request to assist you, whatever your religious preference. Your spiritual representative, such as a priest, minister or rabbi, is always welcome to visit you while you are here.

Auxiliary Volunteers
The WNH Auxiliary and in-house volunteers contribute many hours of service and financial assistance to the hospital. The volunteers assist patients and visitors, and they supplement the services of the hospital staff in many ways. Let them know how much they are appreciated. Volunteers can be identified by their blue uniforms and name tags.
