Employee of the Quarter

Our Employee of the Quarter award recognizes an exceptional employee who exemplifies the WNH Circle of Care Standards of Performance and our core values (integrity, patient-centered care, accountability, compassion, and excellence) in everything they do. These employees are respected at all levels and display a cooperative and supportive attitude while actively contributing to the hospital's mission to provide the best healthcare and community service possible.

When will it be awarded?

Once a quarter. Nominations will be accepted on an ongoing basis. The Employee of the Quarter will be announced in the Exchange newsletter.

Who can be nominated?

Any William Newton Hospital or Clinic full-time or part-time employee (excludes PRN and contract staff).

Current Employee of the Quarter

Kylee Jones
1st Quarter 2026

Kylee Jones has been selected as Employee of the Quarter for the first quarter of 2026! Kylee has been with William Newton Hospital for sixteen years, starting as a receptionist, advancing to medical assistant, and currently serving as a patient accounts representative based in our Cedar Vale clinic.

Clinic Billing Manager Beverly Harris says, "I am pleased to nominate Kylee Jones in recognition of her outstanding commitment to patient-centered care and professional excellence. I have had the privilege of working with Kylee for approximately 15 years [...] it would be difficult to count the many occasions she has gone above and beyond to ensure our patients are cared for with compassion, dignity, and respect. She truly cares for the whole person, not just the clinical need.

On numerous occasions, she has organized meal trains or personally delivered meals to patients who were unable to care for themselves or overwhelmed while caring for family members. One particularly meaningful example of Kylee's compassion involved a young man in our clinic who was diagnosed with cancer. Kylee organized a t-shirt fundraising event to help support his family during his illness. Additionally, Cedar Vale Rural Health Clinic awards an annual scholarship to a high school senior entering the medical field, and Kylee has volunteered countless hours helping raise funds to support this scholarship.

Kylee recently transitioned to the billing department but continues to assist as a medical assistant when needed. She consistently demonstrates flexibility in her role, adapting to changing demands while maintaining a high standard of care. Kylee is compassionate, attentive, and deeply committed to her patients [...] Her willingness to give of her time ensures that patients feel supported, valued, and safe.

Outside of her professional responsibilities, Kylee is an active participant in her community, leading area youth programs [...] This commitment to caring for people extends naturally into her work and positively impacts both patients and colleagues. Kylee is a dependable team member and a true advocate for patient care."
