William Newton Hospital Welcomes New Provider to Moline, Fast Track
Aug 18, 2025
Continuing to ensure access to quality healthcare across south-central Kansas, William Newton Hospital is excited to welcome Edward “Ed” Duensing, APRN, to its healthcare network. Duensing is now scheduling patients at the Moline Community Rural Health Clinic in Moline. He has also joined the William Newton Fast Track team, providing walk-in, minor emergency care as part of the hospital’s emergency department at the main campus in Winfield.
A Neodesha, Kansas resident, Duensing is a board-certified advanced practice registered nurse with over 34 years of experience in the medical field. Duensing's extensive experience includes serving as a nurse practitioner in various primary care, walk-in, and urgent care clinics, including as the owner of Advanced Practice Primary Care Services, LLC. He has also provided primary care to veterans at the Parsons VA Clinic and has worked as an on-call provider for emergency departments and as a hospitalist at several medical centers.
Additionally, Duensing has held positions as an occupational health nurse, a practical nursing instructor, and a clinical instructor. He holds a Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from both Washburn University and Baker University.
Duensing's expertise will benefit patients of all ages at the Moline clinic and William Newton Fast Track. The Moline clinic provides comprehensive, accessible, and compassionate care for the whole family, close to home. As a primary care provider, Duensing will be a dedicated partner to managing a wide range of health needs including annual wellness visits, chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, and heart disease, chronic pain, minor injuries and procedures, minor lacerations, burns, and fractures, preventative care, well-child care, and work or school-related health exams.
Duensing says growing up in Bellville, Kansas, and working in rural America have contributed to his mission to help address the scarcity of providers in rural communities.
“I’m excited for the opportunity to provide care in a rural community,” says Duensing. “I want to focus on keeping individuals healthy, versus being reactive – waiting until you are sick.”
He stressed the importance of getting regular exams at any age to “identify possible diseases or ailments, address them early, and avoid complications.”
Through its network of rural health clinics, William Newton Hospital is dedicated to providing quality healthcare to the residents of Cowley, Chautauqua, and Elk counties. By continuing to serve the unique healthcare needs of rural communities, the hospital aims to enhance the overall health and well-being of the south-central Kansas region.
