William Newton Hospital to Host Large-Scale Hiring Fair in Winfield

William Newton Hospital, a critical access hospital in Winfield, KS, will host a comprehensive hiring fair on Tuesday, March 10, from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Physicians Pavilion Assembly Room. The event aims to fill approximately 30 open positions across clinical and administrative departments as the hospital continues its mission to deliver high-quality, compassionate care to the south-central Kansas region.  

“William Newton Hospital is building a strong workforce to meet the growing needs of our region,” says Gigi Fergus, MBA, BSN, RN, Interim CEO. “As an established, independent healthcare provider, we offer the clinical expertise of big-city medicine combined with the personal touch and compassion of small-town care. The fair is designed to provide candidates with a streamlined hiring path. Unlike traditional application processes, attendees will have the opportunity to meet directly with hiring managers and participate in on-site interviews.  

“We invite candidates to skip the ‘black hole’ of online applications and meet your future team in person,” explains Fergus.   Conditional hiring offers may be made on-site for qualified candidates who complete the necessary formal applications and screenings.

William Newton Hospital is currently recruiting for a wide range of nursing roles, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs for labor and delivery, intensive care, emergency department, and clinics. The hospital is also actively seeking to fill various clinical roles, including CRNAs, medical laboratory technicians, and medical assistants. Non-clinical openings are also available in accounting, billing/coding, reception, and maintenance.

To accommodate all shift schedules, candidates can visit the Physicians Pavilion at 1230 E. 6th Ave. during the 14-hour event window. Candidates are encouraged to bring their resumes and a list of personal references.
