Trail Run Raises a Record $7K for William Newton Hospital

May 19, 2019

Wheat State Wine Co. presented the William Newton Healthcare Foundation with a check for $7,000 during the 7th annual Wine-O Trail Run on May 4 & 5. Wheat State Wine Co. hosts the run every year as a benefit for WNHF.wine o check

Director of WNHF, Annika Morris said, “The hospital and its foundation are blessed with the continued support from Wheat State Wine Co. Winfield is lucky to have a business that is so invested in the well-being of the community. This run is such a unique event for the area and brings in visitors that wouldn’t normally travel to our town or support community healthcare.”

Wheat State Wine Co. used proceeds from the two-day event to make the generous donation to the William Newton Healthcare Foundation. The funds will benefit the Second Century Campaign at William Newton Hospital. The Wine-O Trail Run consistently attracts over 300 runners for its 10K and 5K runs and the 2-Mile Walk, including participants from Kansas and surrounding states.
