Free Community-wide CPR Training

In conjunction with American Heart Month, the fourth annual free community-wide CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) training event will be hosted by William Newton Hospital, with support from Cowley College, Southwestern College, USD 465, USD470, Udall Fire, and Winfield Fire/EMS. Participants will receive adult/infant CPR training, AED education, and NARCAN® training during each session.

William Newton Hospital offers a monthly CPR class, which typically costs $30 for the public. However, through this outreach effort, community partners will be offering training at no cost.

Four sessions will be offered to the public and one session for healthcare providers only. There will also be a free Stop the Bleed Training available to all participants on Thursday, February 5, from 4-5pm.

This event is made possible by the William Newton Healthcare Foundation's Beats Go On community wellness initiative.

Course completion cards will be issued by the American Heart Association. Each session is limited to 46 participants.

All classes will be held at Baden Square Community Center (700 Gary St.) in Winfield.
