Project Prevention: Tax Credit Program 2016-17

Funding state-of-the-art breast imaging in our community

Mammography can detect cancer early – when it is most treatable. Mammograms are recommended for each woman, each year, beginning at age 40.  Please partner with us in Project Prevention as we strive to elevate breast imaging in Cowley County and the surrounding counties to high quality digital technology.

Consider making a contribution to this Community Service Program that provides an opportunity for William Newton Hospital to improve our ability to image the men and women of our community.  Help us undertake this project for new digital mammography equipment.

What is the new epuipment?

Mammography equipment selected for Project Prevention is the Hologic Avia. It produces quality images, reduces radiation exposure and has a more efficient workflow.

How does it work?

Fact #1:  Taxpayers who file a Kansas return are eligible to participate with a contribution of at least $250.
Fact #2:  William Newton Hospital can award a tax credit worth 70% of your contribution to the project.
Fact #3:  You may receive a refund if the value of your Kansas tax credit exceeds your Kansas tax liability.
Fact #4:  You may take a tax deduction for your contribution on your Federal income tax form if you utilize itemized deductions.
Fact #5:  These tax credits benefit you and our community.
Fact #6:  Tax credits are better than a deduction.

Talk with your tax advisor about the impact of your gift and the benefits for you. Tax credits are awarded on a first come, first served basis.

Contact Debbie Hockenbury or Karen Adamson for more information regarding this opportunity for a tax credit at 620.221.2300.
