Pre-placement Health Screens
The goal of any pre-placement screening should be to match the job with the person. This helps to protect both the prospective employee and the employer. WNH’s Occupational Health Department can assist the employer to individualize screening based on specific needs of the position. Services could include: chemistry profile, cholesterol levels, blood count, back or chest x-ray, pulmonary functioning, EKG (resting or stress), height, weight, health history, vision exam, drug/alcohol testing, and hearing screen.
Physical Capacity Profile
This state-of-the-art computerized testing, when performed post-offer, aids the prospective employer in avoiding the placement of an individual into a position that they are not physically capable of performing. When employees are physically matched to the job, they are less likely to be injured on the job. This testing includes:
- Blood Pressure
- Heart Rate
- Body Fat
- Lumbar Range of Motion
- Supination of Wrist
- Pronation of Wrist
- Hand Grip
- Quad Strength
- Shoulder Strength
Drug and Alcohol Testing
We can assist your efforts as an employer to insure a drug-free workplace. Drug screen specimens are collected for pre-employment, post-accident, random, suspicion or follow-up. Specimens are collected following a strict chain of custody guidelines. Breath Alcohol testing is done with results available within minutes. Both DOT and non-DOT testing is offered.
CPR/First Aid Training
We offer CPR and/or first aid training for the workplace by qualified instructors. Many employers desire to have staff members trained to respond to a health related emergency in their place of business.
Occupational Health Nursing
Professional nursing services can be provided onsite. This is tailored to the needs of the particular business.
Occupational Medicine Physician/Medical Screening
Based on a client’s need, we can provide medical services with a certified Occupational Medicine Physician and various lab or ancillary services when periodic assessments are recommended, i.e. respirator use, hazardous material exposure, etc.
In conjunction with Healthways of WNH, we offer various health screenings/health fair opportunities in an occupational setting.
